Telebehavioral Health Best Practices

This online course is intended for providers who are new to practicing in the field of telebehavioral health. It addresses setting up an ideal clinical space, building rapport, adapting style, collaborating with and referring to other telebehavioral health providers and in-person providers, working with special populations and what to do in emergency situations.

Learning Objectives:

  • Adapt clinical approach to sessions for individuals considered to be part of a special population
  • Apply telehealth standards to their practice
  • Identify ways to overcome barriers such as acknowledging unique challenges to videoconferencing, building rapport, planning for emergencies, licensure requirements and HIPAA compliance
